Pastels are little bundles of pure color! They are powdered pigment, held-together with a minimal amount of binding agent. I use hand-crafted pastels created by a variety of artisan pastel makers. Pastels lend themselves wonderfully to the directness and immediacy of outdoor plein air painting ....
